You may want to be assured that your gifts will always support a specific kind of ministry. To sustain a continuing ministry area, you can choose among our Mission Focus Funds:

• The Leadership Fund training and supporting leaders, paid and volunteer;


• The Theological Education Fund supporting United Church theological schools and educational centres;


• The Peace and Justice Fund addressing peace, justice and environmental concerns;


• The Faith and Mission Fund strengthening faith in United Church communities and helping them meet the challenges of membership, mission and change.

These funds, established in 2006, are growing quickly, thanks to the generosity of United Church supporters all over Canada.

In 2007, the Peace and Justice Fund supplemented a grant from the Living Spirit Endowment Fund to a project promoting peace and friendship among Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal people in the Maritimes. In 2008 the Peace and Justice Fund helped to fund a project that moves street-involve and/or homeless youth to safe affordable housing and helps them become independent, self-sufficient community participants.

The Leadership Fund, the Theological Education Fund and the Faith and Mission Fund are building towards the $50,000 benchmark where granting may begin.
