Several funds enable you to focus your gifts on the areas of the church’s work that are most important to you. When you make a gift to one of these funds, you can be assured that through the Foundation’s granting program your gift will support projects that are centred on your areas of interest.
Established funds include the following:
- The Mission and Service Endowment Fund continually provides funds to the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church.
- The Peace and Justice Fund addresses peace, justice, and environmental concerns.
- The Faith and Mission Fund provides seed money for projects that strengthen the expression and development of faith in communities of The United Church of Canada and to assist them in meeting the challenges of membership, leadership, mission, and transformation.
- The Leadership Fund is intended for initiatives that support and sustain leaders of The United Church of Canada, lay and ordered, spiritual and temporal.
- The Theological Education Fund provides grants to projects that support the theological schools and educational centres of The United Church of Canada.
The Peace and Justice and Faith and Mission Funds provide yearly grants through the Seeds of Hope granting program. The Leadership Fund and the Theological Education Fund are building toward the $50,000 benchmark where granting may begin.
