Changing lives, improving communities . . . so much depends on the generosity of people like you, touched by the needs of your neighbours at home and worldwide. Yet in a society where many worthy groups tackle pressing social needs, you can spend a lot of time and effort just finding the organizations whose passions and concerns match yours. And what happens when a valuable project falters because the funding that carried it through this year is unavailable next year, or is reallocated to another service?

The United Church of Canada Foundation can help you with a strategic, long-term approach to your stewardship. We share your values of gratitude, generosity and accountability. We will invest in socially responsible ways so that your invested gift affirms those values. We will manage your gifts carefully so that the work you care about continues, far into the future. We can even help you support any charity beyond The United Church of Canada whose objectives do not conflict with United Church beliefs and policies.

The Foundation is particularly grateful to its Founders, Covenant Donors and Sustaining Friends.  These three groups of people have made special commitments to ensuring the success not only of the Foundation but of the future of the United Church of Canada.

Founders helped to establish the Foundation by making a gift of at least $1,000.  Their gifts were matched by a grant from the United Church of Canada’s Morrison Bequest Fund.  Covenant Donors have given $10,000 or more to the Foundation’s Living Spirit Endowment Fund, Sustaining Fund, and/or Mission Focus Funds. Sustaining Friends of the Foundation are individuals or organizations that have either made a gift of $1,000 or more to the work of the Foundation, or have made a commitment to do so over a period not exceeding 5 years; or have contributed outstanding volunteer time or talent to the Foundation.
